Privacy in plain language.
Forksee stores your account, taste observations, dining history, and recommendations to personalize your experience. Your history and dietary exclusions are private. Public links are created only when you choose to share, and contain only a sanitized recommendation or the broad passport preferences you select. Successful-outcome cards are shared only when you explicitly opt in.
Menus and imports
You can try an order without an account. A private browser cookie keeps your temporary profile and orders accessible for 24 hours. Expired temporary data is removed during daily cleanup, within 48 hours of creation. You can delete it immediately from the order page. Saving an account transfers your temporary records into that account. Private two-person invitations expire within 24 hours; they share menu and order details, not either diner’s private history or dietary preferences.
We process only the files you provide. No scraping, account linking, or Beli credentials. Images are processed transiently and are not stored. Extracted entries wait for your review before they become dining history. Screenshots, menus, and relevant dining notes are sent to our AI provider through Vercel AI Gateway for extraction and sensory analysis. Personalized dish ranking runs in our application. Provider retention terms also apply.
How your taste learns
Confirmed dishes you liked or disliked train a small preference model for your account. Restaurant ratings alone do not tell us which dishes you enjoyed. We do not pool your private dining history with other accounts or use it to fine-tune a shared AI model. You can inspect the dish observations in your journal and remove your data in Settings.
Private conversations and weekly discoveries
Saved conversations and their recommendation context remain private to your account until you delete the conversation or account. Small recent conversation excerpts are sent to the AI provider to understand your request; the entire dining journal is not sent with every message. General culinary answers may stream from that provider. You review consequential preference changes and meal reports before they are saved. Deleting a conversation removes its messages and tool records; separately confirmed meal reports and preferences remain editable account records.
The Taste Drop is selected when you first access it each New York calendar week. It uses available menu evidence and your palate. Opening or sharing a pick records engagement, not evidence that you ate or enjoyed it. Public recommendation links contain menu details, never private conversation text.
Control and deletion
Export your information or delete your account in Settings. Deleting your account removes private records and disables your public links. Payment providers may retain their own transaction records as required. Waitlist removal requests can be handled by the operator of this deployment.
Honest suggestions
Matches are suggestions, not guarantees or calibrated probabilities. Inferred ingredients cannot establish allergen safety. Always confirm dietary needs and cross-contact risks with the restaurant. Demo restaurants, menus, and prices are fictional and labeled.
First-party measurement
We record product events, such as completing onboarding or saving a recommendation, to understand whether Forksee is useful. Choosing a dish records your intention separately from post-meal feedback. These events do not include your menu text, notes, or dietary exclusions. This MVP does not use advertising trackers.
